Danny’s Pet Care was a much needed service in DC! It was difficult to find a cat sitter after I moved to the area so I appreciate Danny setting up his business in NE. Our cat hates most people, but the cat sitters at Danny’s have been great with him. Danny even came over to meet our cat with the cat sitter during the initial visit to make sure that he understood his behavior. I love that the cat sitter checks in with us via text message and gives my cat some needed attention while we are away. Prices are good and match competitors. Email response time is a little slow, but easy to schedule visits and easy to make payments. Great service!
Danny provides wonderful service for our dog. He is very flexible, allowing us to change the number/days of walks from week to week. Danny even rescued me once when I locked myself out with my baby and dog during maternity leave, stopping by with his key to let us in. Highly recommend his company!
We are SO GLAD we found Danny and Elise! We needed daily walks for our timid senior sheltie, so called them to set up a meet and greet. Danny came over with Elise (our walker) to meet him, consult on his needs and let us know how everything worked in person. From that moment on, we didn’t have a single hitch. We needed to have extra walks booked last minute? They did it. We were watching a friend’s dog and needed to add an extra? Elise handled it. Had a sick day and forgot to cancel until that morning? No problem. They literally never missed a beat and made our lives immeasurably easier. Elise became our pets’ aunt and was so kind to both our cat and dog and left funny, detailed notes of every walk. We are sadly moving, and we will miss Danny & Elise so much. Thank you both.
Danny and his dog walkers have been working with my older rescue dog since she joined our family a few years ago. In the beginning, they really helped improve her walking skills. They’re reliable and they (especially her current walker Elise) really take great care of and care about her.
We’ve been using Danny’s Pet Care for over 3 months now, and we couldn’t be happier. They’re always on time, and VERY good with dogs. We get updates as we go via a notepad they brought and leave by the door. We trust them 100%, and Uno, our dog, LOVES Jayne – his walker. She even goes out of her way and brings in any mail or packages we have on the doorstep so they won’t get stolen. We couldn’t recommend these guys enough!

We have been happy customers of Danny’s for almost two years. We have used his business for a variety of our pet care needs – cat sitting visits to our house, daily walks for our dog, and dog sitting Whether it is Danny or one of his employees, we always get fantastic customer service. One example: we got our puppy on a Sunday evening (not ideal!) and needed walks for her starting the next day. She was extremely timid – she’s a shelter pup – and Danny came over to our house to meet her. He has a great energy with dogs and she instantly trusted him. Even though he isn’t normally a daily dog walker, he told us he would walk her for the first few weeks so he could be sure she felt safe and so he could work on training with her. Even though he hasn’t walked her in months, he drove past us when we were with her in Brookland one Saturday. We didn’t see him at first, but he stopped to say hi and our dog’s tail starts wagging and she was doing everything she could to see him. I think it says a lot about how good he is with dogs that she had that reaction.

Danny and Ben are great! Take great care of the dog. We have used them for a little less than a year and they are always there and responsive when plans change.
Danny and his staff do a wonderful job taking care of our cats. We have four, all with unique personalities and eating habits that are a bit of a pain to manage while trying to get them all fed. Danny does a great job with getting them to eat, cleaning up after them, playing with them, and giving us a sense that our kids are in safe hands. We also care for a feral colony in our backyard, and Danny treats them just like they are part of our furry family. Three of our cats are on meds, including an asthma inhaler which is not easy to administer. Just like with feeding, Danny does a great job looking after their health. He even sends pictures from his visits so we can see how they are doing. We really appreciate the great care Danny provides and feel completely comfortable leaving our furry kids in his care. We’d recommend Danny to anyone, especially those who live in Brookland – always nice to support a neighborhood business!
I’m very grateful for such a great dog walking service in Brookland. They have been able to accommodate evenings and weekends, and the walkers are incredibly dedicated to my dog– they take any opportunity they can to make my dog happy and better adjusted. I get daily detailed updates about every walk, and Danny and his staff are very easy to reach for scheduling.
Just got back to town after almost a week to find our pup calm and content. We love that we don’t worry a bit about his safety or happiness when we can’t be around. Danny is loving and super responsible with the pets and we have total confidence in him. We also use Danny’s Pet Care for afternoon walks on days when I know I’ll be gone for long stretches of time our pup loves it! I give my highest recommendation to this company!
